At the annual dinner on Friday 11th April, we recognised the 12 year’s service given to the DGU by Jim Paton who stepped down from the Executive at the end of last year.

A long-time supporter of County golf in his playing days Jim also managed our Gents team most notably in 2015 at Blairgowrie in the Scottish Area Team Championship where our young team came so close to lifting the trophy after leading the qualifiers.

In recent years Jim has been our starter and referee at strokeplay and matchplay events.
