Congratulations to Ian Taggart, Lenzie, for a very fine 6th place in yesterday's Championship at East Kilbride. Ian shot a 36 hole total of 148 only 2 shots behind the winner, Gregg Brown of Cathkin Braes, and only lost out on 4th place on a count back.
A difficult opening match for our team who lost 8-0 away to Renfrewshire in blustery conditions at Ranfurly Castle Golf Club. In particular our younger players found the conditions difficult to master but they will all benefit from the experience.
The next match is against Ayrshire at Dumbarton Golf Club on the 23rd June.

After last week's first round the leading scores going into Sunday's second round are Dumbarton and Clober leading on 220 with Clydebank & District one shot behind on 221. Windyhill and Helensburgh are in 4th and 5th place.
Congratulations to Robbie Harper (Dumbarton) who won the Spring Meeting Handicap with a net score of 67. After the first round of the 36 hole Scratch Strokeplay Championship the leader is Andy Campbell (Dumbarton) with a gross 69. The CSS was 71.

Our second annual match took place at Balmore Golf Club on Sunday 24th February and our Boys got revenge for last year's defeat with a 4/1 victory.

Following feedback from players on the date for the 2nd round (for the top 30 scratch scores) which was due to be played on Sunday 5th May this will now be played at Dumbarton GC in the morning of Sunday 12th May. This will avoid the clash with the McKinnon Wood Cup.
