DGU Matchplay Championship Final

Congratulations to Scott Moore (Clydebank & District) who added the Matchplay Championship to the Stokeplay Championship he won last week. Scott defeated Martyn Paton (Helensburgh) in a closely fought final over the Clydebank & District course. Both finalists are pictured with the trophy along with Scott and DGU President Alan Bell.

Strokeplay Championship

Congratulations to Scott Moore (Clydebank & District) who won the Strokeplay Championship over his home course with a 36 hole total of 135, 1 under par. In equal second place 1 shot behind were Iain MacCalman (Clober) and Andy Campbell (Dumbarton). Scott is pictured receiving the trophy from Alan Bell, DGU President.

DGU / SGL Meeting

Representatives from the DGU Executive and officials from our member clubs met with Eleanor Cannon (SGL Chair) and Andrew McKinlay (SGL CEO) to share views on the challenges facing golf in Scotland and in particular the priorities for clubs in the DGU Area. Tennant Cup

We had 4 DGU players in the tournament and all 4 were in the top 16. Once again James Wilson was unfortunate in that he lost out in a playoff at the second extra hole at Glasgow Golf Club;George Duncan was 3rd with Steven Stewart 8th and Angus Carrick 16th. Great showing by all the boys.
