Congratulations to Renfrewshire on their 5.5 to 3.5 win at Hayston in the first of this year’s Area Team Championship matches. We took a 2 to 1 lead from the morning foursomes but a strong performance from the Renfrewshire players saw them take the singles 4.5 to 1.5.

The annual dinner and trophy presentation was held at Clydebank & District Golf Club on Friday 12th April.
The toast to Dumbartonshire Golf Union was proposed by SGL President Paul Gibson and the guest speaker was Alan Tait.

West Dunbartonshire Council have withdrawn the proposal to downsize or close Dalmuir Golf Course.
Well done everyone who opposed the original proposal and helped convince the Councillors of the undoubted value of retaining such a valuable asset.
