Our second annual match took place at Balmore Golf Club on Sunday 24th February and our Boys got revenge for last year's defeat with a 4/1 victory.

Following feedback from players on the date for the 2nd round (for the top 30 scratch scores) which was due to be played on Sunday 5th May this will now be played at Dumbarton GC in the morning of Sunday 12th May. This will avoid the clash with the McKinnon Wood Cup.
Boys Championship 2019
The Boys Strokeplay Championship (Scratch & Handicap) will be at Douglas Park Golf Club on Friday 9th August.
The top 8 qualifiers (scratch) will qualify for the Boys Matchplay Championship at Douglas Park on the 12th – 14th August.

Congratulations to the boys who completed the 18 session coaching programme. Pictured are the 3 boys, Calum McAteer (Clydebank & District, Most Improved Player Trophy winner), Calum Rutherford (Clober) and Jamie Kelly (Bearsden) who will receive further coaching along with President Sam Bolton, Coaching Convenor Frank Gloag and Area Coach Bob Collison.
It was with much regret that I learned this morning of the death of John Ward of Clydebank & District Golf Club, a long term stalwart of Dumbartonshire Golf Union.
Our sympathy to John’s family at this difficult time.
Funeral arrangements will be advised in due course.
Well done to our Youth Team who won their final game in the West of Scotland Youth League with a 5-3 victory over Glasgow at Haggs Castle.
A hat trick of league victories was not to be with Stirlingshire coming out on top with Renfrewshire in second place.
