Congratulations to Scott Moore (Clydebank & District) who won the Strokeplay Championship over his home course with a 36 hole total of 135, 1 under par. In equal second place 1 shot behind were Iain MacCalman (Clober) and Andy Campbell (Dumbarton).

Representatives from the DGU Executive and officials from our member clubs met with Eleanor Cannon (SGL Chair) and Andrew McKinlay (SGL CEO) to share views on the challenges facing golf in Scotland and in particular the priorities for clubs in the DGU Area.

We had 4 DGU players in the tournament and all 4 were in the top 16.
Once again James Wilson was unfortunate in that he lost out in a playoff at the second extra hole at Glasgow Golf Club;George Duncan was 3rd with Steven Stewart 8th and Angus Carrick 16th.

Congratulations to Lorna McClymont (Milngavie) who has been selected to play for Scotland in the European Girls Team Championships at Forsgardens in Sweden which tees off on the 10th of July.
Well done to our team of Liam Taylor, Jack Pike, Ian Taggart and Lachlan Reynolds who were a very credible 8th at Eastwood today. A total of 156 in the morning foursomes saw us in the bottom half of the field. However, good performances in the afternoon singles gave us the equal 4th best score…
