The initial meeting of local clubs taking part in this year’s competition took place last night.

DGU clubs taking part are, Bearsden, Clober, Douglas Park, Helensburgh, Hilton Park and Milngavie. Along with Bishopbriggs and Dougalston they will play in 2 leagues with the winners going to the regional final at Mearns Castle on the 18th September.

GolfSixes is a fun competition for kids under 12 with either no handicap or a maximum handicap of 37. They play over a shortened 6 hole course in a modified Pairs Texas Scramble format.

Clubs who have taken part in previous years have all said what great encouragement it was for their kids.
