Mixed fortunes for our players with the Prestwick course again proving a stern test.
The original 264 players have now been reduced to the top 64 and ties to play in the matchplay starting on Wednesday.
The leading DGU player is Steven Stewart (Clydebank & District) who finished in 9th place, a magnificent 6 under par 65 around St. Cuthbert moving him 110 places up from his position after the first round.
Also through to the matchplay stage are Chris MacLean (only one shot behind Steven), James Wilson and Neil McConnachie (all Balmore) and Euan McBride (Lenzie).
Just missing out by one shot was defending champion George Duncan (Windyhill) as did Angus Carrick (Douglas Park).
Good luck to the DGU players on Wednesday.
