Congratulations to George Duncan (Windyhill) who finished in 4th place with a 4 round total of 283. James Wilson (Balmore) finished in 11th place after an outstanding 64 in the 3rd round. Ellis Hart (Dullatur) and Andy Campbell (Dumbarton) also made the 36 hole cut out of the 10 players from DGU clubs.
Chris MacLean : Balmore

A great performance from Ewen Ferguson (Bearsden) in the quarter final against Paul McBride from Ireland but unfortunately Ewen's challenge fell just short with a 2 hole defeat at the last hole. Overall a great performance from our 2 players with Chris McLean (Balmore) also reaching the match play stages.

Ewen Ferguson (Bearsden) is in the last 8 of the Amateur Championship. Ewen progressed thanks to victories today over Alasdair McDougall (Elderslie) by 4&2 in the morning followed by a 4&3 win over Jamie Bower of England in the afternoon.
